Campus Watch

The following incidents were reported to University Police April 23-29. Readers with information that could assist in investigating these incidents are urged to call 935-5555. This information is provided as a public service to promote safety awareness and is available on the University Police Web site at police.wustl.edu.

April 23

9:36 a.m. — A University employee reported that an unknown person stole two wall portraits from the first and lower levels of January Hall. The portraits were last seen at 2:30 p.m. April 22. Total loss is estimated at $1,340.

April 25

10:48 a.m. — Four windows in the South 40 residential area were broken by unknown persons throwing rocks.

April 26

2:42 p.m. — The department was advised of a suspicious, unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot of the power plant. A computer check revealed the vehicle to have been stolen from another jurisdiction. The vehicle was towed.

April 28

10:51 a.m. — A University employee reported that someone stole property from her office located inside the Cornerstone in Gregg Residence Hall. Total loss is estimated at $159.

11:55 a.m. — A University student reported that she lost her wallet with her keys attached inside the computer lab of Simon Hall.

Additionally, University Police responded to three reports each of larceny and fire, two reports each of assault and property damage, and one report each of suspicious person, fraud and violation of protection order.
