Turning a negative into a positive

St. Louis Public Schools teaching award named for David Konig

An award for the St. Louis Public Schools' social studies teacher of the year has been named in honor of David T. Konig, Ph.D., professor of history, of African and African American studies and director of the Legal Studies Program, all in Arts & Sciences, and professor of law.

Ambitious rock opera 'Remember Me' comes to Edison

At 8 p.m. Nov. 14 and at 2 p.m. Nov. 15, two internationally renowned performance groups return to Edison Theatre to present rock opera "Remember Me" as part of the 2009-10 OVATIONS Series.

Programs continue to help community quit

Smoking and tobacco use will be prohibited in University-owned and -managed properties beginning July 1, 2010. To help the WUSTL community prepare for the change, programs and events are continuing to be offered to help students, faculty and staff quit smoking and using tobacco products.

Record to go all-electronic in 2010

The Office of Public Affairs has announced that the Record, which currently is distributed in both print and digital formats, will go entirely digital and be distributed electronically five days a week in January 2010.

University-wide blood drive Nov. 11

The second of four University-wide blood drives this year will be held Nov. 11 at nine locations throughout the University.
