Virgil professorship
Olin School of Business Dean Mahendra Gupta, Ph.D. (center), celebrates his recent installation as the inaugural Geraldine J. (left) and Robert L. Virgil Professor in Accounting and Management. Robert Virgil's contributions to the University include serving terms as Olin School dean, vice chancellor for student affairs, executive vice chancellor for university relations and a trustee. The Virgils are involved in a number of organizations and institutions in the community. Gupta, who became the Olin School dean on July 1, has been recognized several times for his teaching with both the Reid M.B.A. and the Reid E.M.B.A. Teacher of the Year award.
