| | | April 18, 2003 > Goate to speak at STARS program April 22 Goate to speak at STARS program April 22  By Tony Fitzpatrick The seventh session of the 2002-03 Students and Teachers As Research Scientists (STARS) Academic Year Program will be from 7-8:30 p.m. April 22 at the Century C Millennium Center on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus. Alison M. Goate, D.Phil., professor of psychiatry and genetics in the School of Medicine, is known for the discovery of the first known cause of Alzheimer's disease. She will discuss recent research on Alzheimer's disease and its implications for treatment. STARS scholars, teachers, friends, parents and guidance counselors are welcome. Parking is available on the top level of the Millennium Garage on the east side of Millennium Center. A reception will follow the program.
