Lung cancer's genetic alterations uncovered by genome researchers

New School of Medicine research provides an unprecedented view of the abnormal genetic landscape in lung cancer cells from patients with lung cancer.

Men's and women's basketball ranked No. 1

WUSTL sports teams are enjoying an unprecedented string of success. The men's and women's soccer teams, the volleyball team and women's cross country all are competing this weekend in NCAA Div. III postseason play and still have a shot at a national title. And the men's and women's basketball teams begin regular-season play this weekend as preseason No. 1 teams in NCAA Div. III.

Preserving computer history


This team of researchers restored the Laboratory Instrument Computer (LINC) — recognized by the Institute of Electical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society as the world's first interactive personal computer — for display at the 10th Vintage Computer Festival Nov. 3-4 in Mountain View, Calif.

Annual Faculty/Staff Appreciation Event at Campus Store Nov. 28

The Campus Store will hold its 10th annual Faculty/Staff Appreciation Event Nov. 28 and will offer a 30 percent discount to WUSTL faculty and staff members from 3-8 p.m.

The Danforth Campus' Parking & Transportation Services, in cooperation with Residential Life, will offer transportation to and from the Danforth Campus and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport Nov. 20, 21 and 25 to all students, faculty and staff traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday.
