EPSC Building
Atrium
Brookings Hall's future neighbor

These artist's renderings show the future building for the Department of Earth & Planetary Sciences in Arts & Sciences: at top, the exterior as seen from Hoyt Drive; and above, the interior of the west entrance. Excavation for the building, just to the northeast of Brookings Hall and east Crow Hall, has begun. The 150,000-square-foot structure is expected to be completed in Spring 2004. With four levels, the building will include research facilities and offices for faculty members, a large "dry" laboratory and two teaching laboratories. In addition, the NASA tape archive will be housed in the building, as well as a computer lab and a library.
