Huck prints featured nationwide

The Whitney Museum of American Art in New York has acquired a suite of prints by Tom Huck, lecturer in the School of Art, titled "Two Weeks in August: 14 Rural Absurdities."

Huck also recently completed a commission for the print society of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City, Mo., and was the subject of solo exhibitions at the Arena Gallery in Chicago; Slufest Gallery in Austin, Texas; and the Sheldon Art Galleries in St. Louis.

He is currently working on a set of prints for Big Cat Press in Chicago.

Huck will be in residency March 4-8 at the Milwaukee Museum of Art. The residency comes in conjunction with the exhibition "Landfall Press: Recent Prints," documenting the well-known Chicago print shop, which has produced three editions by Huck since 1999, two of which are featured in the Milwaukee show.
Huck also served as an artist-in-residence at the University of Texas at Austin recently.
