Learning about health careers

At the Feb. 12 Health Professions Fair, Kathleen Spihlman (left) clinical instructor of respiratory care at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, demonstrates intubation to Cheryl Webster, a student at Central Visual and Performing Arts High School. Intubation provides a way to artificially inflate a person's lungs. The annual Health Professions Fair, held this year in Olin Gymnasium, is sponsored by the School of Medicine's Office of Diversity Programs and the Community-Based Resource Office of the St. Louis Public Schools.
