Bringing in the New Year

Members of the St. Louis Modern Chinese School perform a fan dance called "On the Yellow River Plain" at the Washington University Chinese Students and Scholars' spring festival party Feb. 9 in the Women's Building Formal Lounge. The dance represents people working and living on the banks of China's Yellow River. The spring festival was held to celebrate the Chinese New Year, the year of the horse, which began Feb. 12.
