Institute for Global Legal Studies renaming Feb. 7

The School of Law's Institute for Global Legal Studies will celebrate its renaming to the Whitney R. Harris Institute for Global Legal Studies at 4 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Bryan Cave Moot Court Room in Anheuser-Busch Hall.

Chancellor Mark S. Wrighton and Joel Seligman, J.D., dean of the law school and the Ethan A.H. Shepley University Professor, will kick off the event. The ceremony's keynote speech, "The Future of Atrocity Law and the Legacy of Whitney Harris," will be delivered by Ambassador David J. Scheffer, senior fellow at the United States Institute of Peace in Washington, D.C., and former ambassador at large for war crimes issues and head of the U.S. delegation to the United Nations Preparatory Commission for the International Criminal Court.

A reception will follow at 5 p.m. University faculty, staff and students are welcome to the event. For more information, visit ls.wustl.edu/igls.
